NAMPA, Idaho – Northwest Nazarene men's soccer tied 1-1 against Saint Martin's in their final home match on Saturday.
The Nighthawks' record is now 4-6-6 overall and 2-3-5 in GNAC play.
NNU took a 1-0 advantage in the 17
th minute when
Alan Soto Ortiz scored on an assist from
Ethan Atterberry. In the 30
th minute, a Nighthawks player received a red card and NNU was forced to play with 10 men for the remainder of the contest.
With just under 17 minutes remaining in the game, Xander Koegnig scored for the Saints to bring the game to 1-1.
Sawyer Price played the first 60 minutes in the net, and
Noah Taigen played the final 30 minutes in goal for the Nighthawks. Four different Nighthawks put shots on goal, Including a nice header from
Sullivan Smith.
The Nighthawks final week of soccer is on the road. They face Seattle Pacific on Thursday, and Simon Fraser on Saturday.
