Nighthawks Sweep Aside Yellowjackets

NNU improves to 9-9 on the season and 5-5 in GNAC action.

The Nighthawks and Yellowjackets went back-and-forth in the opening set, staying close all the way until it was 22-22 late. NNU then rattled off three-straight kills to take the frame, with two from Londyn Giles and one from Abby Black.

NNU rode that momentum into set two, jumping out to a 12-4 lead after a 6-0 run. The Nighthawks did not look back, winning the set by 10 at 25-15.

MSUB fought back to open set three, going up 8-3 early. NNU righted the ship after that, though, going on a 6-0 run and taking 11 of the next 12 points to go up 14-9. The Nighthawks also had a 10-1 run later in the set, and would close the frame and match with 22 of the final 29 points.
