BURNABY, B.C. – Northwest Nazarene volleyball came up short on the road on Thursday night, falling at Simon Fraser in four sets (17-25, 16-25, 25-19, 14-25).
NNU falls to 11-3 overall and 4-2 in GNAC play.
How It Happened
The Nighthawks and Red Leafs went back-and-forth for most of the first set until a late run by SFU pulled away for the win.
The Red Leafs used that momentum to gradually pull away from the Nighthawks throughout set two, slowly building a bigger and bigger advantage before taking the nine-point win.
The Nighthawks went down 9-3 in the third set, but fought back to tie things at 11 and take a 13-11 advantage. NNU rolled from there, eventually taking the final three points of the frame for the 25-19 win.
Set four was all SFU, though, as the Red Leafs took the first nine points and never looked back in the 25-14 victory.
