PORTLAND, Ore. - The GNAC has announced the weekly award winners for September 19-26, with Northwest Nazarene's Sawyer Price receiving the Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week honor.
Roggow anchored a Northwest Nazarene defense that posted a pair of shutouts. On Thursday, the Nighthawks held Simon Fraser to three shots on goal in a 3-0 shutout of Simon Fraser. Western Washington also had four shots on goal on Saturday but could not break through the NNU backline in a 0-0 tie. Roggow played all 180 minutes last week.
Roggow is the third NNU women's soccer player to earn GNAC weekly honors this season, joining
Alexis Montoya (defensive) and
Madison Grande (offensive).
One of two unbeaten teams left in the conference, NNU will take their 3-0-1 mark on the road this week to Saint Martin's on Thursday and Western Oregon on Saturday.
