NAMPA, Idaho – In a clash of the top two teams in the GNAC standings, Northwest Nazarene women's soccer battled to a 0-0 draw against Western Washington on Saturday.
How It Happened
The Nighthawks and Vikings each played tremendous defense throughout the game, with just six total shots on goal recorded between the two sides.
NNU had two of them, with the first coming off the foot of
Magda Wronski in the 24
th minute and the second from
Alejandra Jaramillo in the 80
th.
Alexis Montoya had three saves in goal for the Nighthawks, including a great diving stop early on in the 11
th minute.
Neither team was able to find the back of the net, though, settling for the scoreless draw.

- NNU moves to 5-1-2 overall and 3-0-1 in GNAC play, while WWU is now also 3-0-1 in conference action and 4-1-3 on the year
- While their win streak ended at five, the Nighthawks grow their unbeaten streak to six matches
- Today's match was the just the second time that NNU and WWU have ended in a draw in program histories, with the first coming back in 2007
