How it Happened

NNU struck first, as in the eighth minute of the game,
Jake Levine assisted
Jimmy Koufidakis to put the Nighthawks up 1-0.

The Nighthawks held that lead for most of the game, but in the 71
st minute, the Lumberjacks' Devin Hauenstein scored on an assist from Dylan Tovani to get back to an even 1-1 score.

Seven minutes later, the Lumberjacks took their first lead when Nico Herrrera-Land assisted Juan Perez to make the score 2-1.

The Nighthawks did not trail for long, though, as in the 85
th minute

That score held to the end of the 90 minutes.

Due an NCAA rule change, there are no longer any overtime periods for the regular season starting in 2022. Games tied after 90 minutes are a draw. Overtime and shootouts will take place to decide postseason matches.
