SEATTLE – Northwest Nazarene men's basketball fell on the road at Seattle Pacific in their first game back from break on Thursday night, 79-69.

The Nighthawks drop to 4-7 on the season and 1-2 in GNAC play.

How It Happened

NNU got off to a good start, with a dunk from Timothy TenKley giving the Nighthawks a 17-9 lead with 11:39 to go in the first half.

SPU erased the margin over the next five minutes, though, tying the game at 22 and then taking the lead and holding it into halftime at 36-32.

A free throw from Gabriel Murphy and triple by Kobe Terashima immediately tied things back up at 36 just a minute into the second half.

The teams would go back and forth, staying within three points, until the 7:35 mark when SPU took a five-point advantage, 65-60.

NNU cut the deficit down to two with 2:12 to play on a Ryzin Bergersen three, but would be outscored 10-2 over the remaining time as the Falcons won by ten.
