PORTLAND, Ore. - The GNAC released the results of the coaches' voting for the 2022-23 GNAC Men's Basketball Preseason Poll on Wednesday afternoon, with Northwest Nazarene chosen to finish second in the conference.
NNU is picked to finish second a year after recording their best-ever GNAC final standing of second, going 10-5 in conference play.
The Nighthawks received 78 points and two first-place votes, just narrowly behind Saint Martin's at 81 points and three first-place votes. Montana State Billings was third with 69 points, Western Washington fourth at 66 points, and Seattle Pacific third with 60 points.
Alaska Anchorage, Central Washington, Western Oregon, Simon Fraser, and Alaska Fairbanks round out the poll in order.Â

Kobe Terashima also returns at point guard after starting 20 games.Â
The Nighthawks will open their 2022-23 campaign at home on November 12, hosting Evergreen State at 7:30 p.m. to cap off NNU's Homecoming festivities.
