NAMPA, Idaho - Northwest Nazarene women's soccer picked up right where they left off in the spring, opening the fall 2021 campaign with a 1-0 victory over Chaminade.
Dating back to the spring season, the Nighthawks have now won 12 matches in a row after taking all 11 matches of the shortened year.Â
Makayla Roggow tallied the lone goal of the match, scoring in the 65th minute after a scrum in the box.
Magda Wronski picked up the assist on the goal.Â
The Nighthawks recorded 14 shots to Chaminade's 6, putting seven attempts on frame. NNU also had six corners while only allowing two for Chaminade.
Alexis Montoya finished with four saves across the 90 minutes to earn the win in goal.
NNU will host College of Idaho in the final game of their season-opening tournament on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. The Yotes fell to Central Washington 3-2 in the first game on Thursday.Â
