NAMPA, Idaho - Northwest Nazarene volleyball earned their third-straight win on Friday night with a 3-1 victory over Westminster.
The Nighthawks dominated the Griffins in the first set, hitting .464 and pulling away to take the frame 25-15. Westminster battled back in set two, evening the match with a 25-18 win, but NNU would eke out a 25-22 victory in set three and than run past the Griffins 25-15 in the fourth set to take the match.
In that final set, NNU hit an impressive .522 to bring their match percentage to .325. The Nighthawks outpaced the Griffins 60 to 47 in digs and put through 11 aces on the night.
Brooke Foster had six of those aces while also leading the team with 16 kills and 12 digs.
Abbey Blum finished with 11 kills, while
Natalie Sullivan recorded 10 and three blocks.
Caroline McMahon tallied 21 digs to lead the back line, while
Tayler Markland held down the front with five blocks.
Mckenzie Lee registered 34 assists for NNU.
The Nighthawks will hit the road next weekend, making the long journey to Alaska Fairbanks for two matches on March 19 and 20.
