NNU Suffers Second Loss of Season in Seattle

SEATTLE - Northwest Nazarene's nine-game win streak came to an end on Friday night, as the Nighthawks fell to Seattle Pacific 89-79.

The Falcons jumped on the Nighthawks early, leading by 25 at halftime, 48-23. NNU was able to put 56 points on the board in the second half but it wouldn't be enough to overcome the early deficit.

After a subpar effort shooting in the first half, the Nighthawks turned things around to shoot 58.1% from the field, 62.5% from deep, and 83.3% from the free throw line in the second period. NNU outrebounded SPU 38-26, and held a large advantage in fast-break points of 18-0.

Ezekiel Alley led NNU with 19 points on 6-12 shooting from the field. George Reidy came next with 13 points, followed by a trio of Nighthawks at seven points apiece. Kobe Terashima had six rebounds, while James Nelson had five.

The Nighthawks will get another chance against the Falcons tomorrow, with game time set for 2:00 p.m. Pacific.
