Falcons Down Nighthawks for Second-Straight Day

SEATTLE - Northwest Nazarene men's basketball suffered their second defeat in as many days at the hands of Seattle Pacific, coming up short 83-68 on Saturday.

With the loss, the No. 13/15 Nighthawks fall to 10-3 on the year. NNU has two games remaining on their regular season schedule, visiting Central Washington next weekend, before they wait to see if they will be selected to participate in the NCAA postseason.

Ezekiel Alley led NNU with 21 points, five rebounds, four assists, and two steals. George Reidy was next with 16 points and six boards, followed by Sam Roth and James Nelson with eight points apiece.

NNU got off to a good start, taking an 8-2 lead after just two and a half minutes of action. SPU quickly erased the deficit, though, taking an 11-10 lead on a three with 14:52 to go in the half. The Falcons would slowly extend their lead to 14 by the end of the opening period, taking a 44-30 advantage into the break.

The Nighthawks were able to cut the deficit down to 11 a few times in the second half, but could not get it down to single digits as Seattle Pacific took the 15-point win.
