NAMPA, Idaho – Northwest Nazarene volleyball stormed out to a 25-12 set one victory on Thursday night, but Alaska Anchorage bounced back to take the next three frames to defeat the Nighthawks 3-1.
 
How It Happened
	- NNU played an incredible opening set, hitting .300 as a team while holding UAA to a -.088 attack percentage. The Seawolves made 12 errors in the frame, as NNU rolled to the 25-12 victory.
- The Nighthawks came very close to taking a 2-0 lead in the match, as they led a back-and-forth set two 25-24 and then 26-25. NNU couldn't put UAA away, however, as the Seawolves rallied for three-straight points to even the score at 1-1.
- Anchorage used that momentum to pull away in the third set for a 25-18 victory. NNU led by as much as seven, 19-12, in the fourth set, but UAA went on a 14-5 run to close the frame 26-24 and take the match.
Nighthawks Notes
	- Three Nighthawks were in double figures in kills, led by Tayler Markland with 12.
- Anna Gable added 11 kills and nearly had a double-double with eight blocks, equaling her career best.
- Natalie Sullivan tallied 10 kills and added 18 digs for a double-double of her own.
- Caroline McMahon had a career-high 31 digs to anchor the back line.
- Mckenzie Lee notched 37 assists and tied her career high with five blocks.\
