NAMPA, Idaho – Northwest Nazarene men's soccer snapped a four-game GNAC skid on Thursday night, defeating the visiting Montana State Billings Yellowjackets 2-0 on NNU Field.
How It Happened
- Neither team found a goal in the first half, with the Nighthawks holding the Yellowjackets to just three shots in the period.
- NNU finally broke through in the 52nd minute when Lukas Juodkunaitis curled in a free kick from outside the box.
- In the 66th minute, the Nighthawks doubled the lead when Daniel Brendel was able to clean up a scrum in the box after the MSUB keeper made back-to-back saves on Braeden Anderson attempts.
- The Nighthawks only allowed one more shot attempt in the second half, stifling the MSUB attack to preserve the victory.
