ANCHORAGE, Alaska – Northwest Nazarene volleyball took on Alaska Anchorage on Saturday night, falling to the Seawolves 3-0.
How It Happened
- Set one was a back-and-forth battle, with NNU taking a late 21-20 lead, but UAA scored the final five points of the frame to take it 25-21.
- NNU hung tough in the second set as well, staying withing two or three points throughout, but came up just short with a 25-22 loss.
- In set three, the Seawolves were able to pull away from the Nighthawks midway through the set and end up with a 25-17 victory.
Nighthawks Notes
- Tayler Markland led the Nighthawks with 10 kills, committing just one error on 15 attempts to hit .600 for the match.
- Mckenzie Lee put up 30 assists, her sixth-straight 30+ assist effort.
- Caroline McMahon led NNU defensively with nine digs.

With just two of their 14 matches so far this season coming at home, NNU will be back in the Johnson Sports Center for six of the next eight, starting by hosting Saint Martin's on Thursday, Oct. 14.
