PORTLAND, Ore. – The Northwest Nazarene men's soccer team lost 2-0 on Thursday to Concordia in a Great Northwest Athletic Conference match.
The Nighthawks (3-13-1 overall, 3-8-0 GNAC) had three shots on goal, including two by freshman
Dominic Abdel-Ahad.
"Another tough result for us," NNU coach
Joel DeLass said. "We played well enough to win today, but we didn't take our chances. We hit the post twice and had one cleared off the line."
Freshman
Alex Nadermann made three saves in goal, but it wasn't enough to slow the streaking Cavaliers (7-8-1, 5-6-0) who have won four games in a row.
Paul Seydel scores his first two goals of the season Thursday, scoring off of a turnover in the 57th minute and off of a pass from Nicholas Denley in the 87th minute.
The Nighthawks play their final match of the season at 4 p.m. Saturday, hosting Saint Martin's at NNU Field.
"It's been a year of learning and growth for us," DeLass said. "Hopefully we can gather ourselves and send our seniors out with a win on Saturday."
