SEATTLE, Wash. – The Northwest Nazarene volleyball team swept Seattle Pacific on Saturday in a Great Northwest Athletic Conference match.
The Nighthawks, who also swept the season series with the Falcons, won 25-18, 25-21, 25-20.
"We covered our hitters really well," NNU coach
Doug English said. "Everyone had each other's backs and we hustled around and kept the ball off the ground. It was really fun and everyone had good energy and we are grateful to get the win."
NNU defeated Seattle Pacific (10-13 overall, 8-8 GNAC) in five sets in Nampa earlier this season.
The Nighthawks (6-17, 6-10) were coming off a four-set loss at Saint Martin's on Thursday.
On Saturday,
Shayli Siegfreid had 20 digs,
Kayla Sale had 12 and
Cami Heninger had 15 to go with eight kills.
Megan Nelson had 18 assists and seven digs,
Mckenzie Lee had eight assists and eight digs and
Abbey Blum,
Tayler Markland and
Brooke Foster all had six kills each.
"The girls responded really well after Thursday night," English said. "Our serve-receive was great. Kayla, Shayli and Megan did great getting us into system and helped us kill some balls."
The Nighthawks travel to Central Washington at 8 p.m. MDT on Tuesday in their last road game of the season.
