Anthony Golden scored a season-high 20 points to lead the Northwest Nazarene men's basketball team to a 106-69 victory over Walla Walla University in the final game of the 2010 NNU-C of I Holiday Classic, hosted by the Crusaders at the Johnson Sports Center.
Earlier in the day the University of Montana Western defeated The College of Idaho
84-61.
Golden converted six-of-nine from the floor and the Crusaders (4-5 overall) shot 55-percent (44-80) from the field, including a 46.2-percent (12-26) clip from the three-point line to run away from the Wolves in their final non-conference game of the season.
Drew Eisinger added five assists to his stat line and led the NNU 22-to-11 assist-to-turnover ratio.
Lateef Williams added four points and four assists and
Leon Vasquez came off the bench to score three and dish out three assists.
Walla Walla (0-13) was led by Bryce Doherty's game-high 21 points. Doherty went seven-for-11 from the floor and hit three-of-five from the arc. Marc Gupilan added 15 and Josh Henderson finished with 13. Tristan Greenidge added seven points and team-highs of nine rebounds and five assists.
The Crusaders will now break for final exams next week and will not return to action until December 30th when they host the University of Alaska Fairbanks in a GNAC counter.
