SEATTLE - Louie Beech's three-pointer to tie with 15-seconds to play slid just long as the Crusaders fell to Seattle Pacific 63-59 in a Great Northwest Athletic Conference game on Wednesday night in Seattle.

Beech, who led the Crusaders with 12 points, had the opportunity to tie after SPU's Brandon Larrieu hit one of two free throws with 20.3 seconds remaining to make it 62-59.  Joel Ryman hustled for the rebound but was flying out of bounds on the catch and the ball ended up in the hands of SPU's Casey Reed.  Reed was then fouled with .9 seconds to play and hit one-of-two to seal the victory.

Scott Helpenstell added 11 points and Tyler Roberts scored eight and led the Crusaders with eight rebounds.  NNU out rebounded SPU 38-36, but was held to 37.1 percent (23-62) shooting on the night.

Chris Banchero led the Falcons (11-5, 4-1 GNAC) with a game-high 18 points, while Rafael Moreira posted the only double-double of the contest with 14 points and 10 rebounds.  Rob Diederichs scored 10.

The Crusaders (10-5, 2-3 GNAC) will now travel to Montana and face Montana State Billings on Saturday night at 7:00 p.m. MT.
