Leon Sitz joined the Northwest Nazarene athletic department prior to the 2024-25 academic year.
Sitz serves the department in multiple capacities as a graduate assistant, working as a coach with the men's soccer program and an assistant in the athletic communications department.
The Brandenburg, Germany native came to Nampa following three seasons as a soccer student-athlete at Gonzaga, where he played for current NNU men's soccer head coach James Williamson when Williamson was an assistant with the Bulldogs.
Sitz appeared in 40 matches with 23 starts in the midfield across his three seasons in Spokane, registering three goals and five assists. Prior to GU, he was a key contributor at Monroe College (N.Y.) in their undefeated 2019 season that culminated in an NJCAA National Championship.
