Alan Soto Ortiz joined the Northwest Nazarene men's soccer staff as a graduate assistant coach prior to the 2024 season.
Soto Ortiz was a key midfielder for the Nighthawks program for two seasons in 2022 and 2023.
During NNU's run to the NCAA DII Elite Eight in 2022, he played in 21 games with 20 starts and registered three goals and four assists, including scoring NNU's first goal in the 3-2 win over Cal State Dominguez Hills in the Sweet 16. In 2023, he was named Second Team All-GNAC after starting all 16 games and recording a goal and three assists.
Prior to NNU, Soto Ortiz attended Santa Rosa Junior College for two seasons and was a JuCo All-American.
