Derek played two years at Big Bend Community College and one season at Northwest University in Kirkland, Wash...At Big Bend, Derek averaged 18.0 points and shot 48-percent from the three-point line and 85-percent from the foul line in his two seasons in Moses Lake...Last season at Northwest, he averaged 13.5 points per game and shot 47-percent from the three-point arc and 87-percent from the free-throw line.
