PORTLAND, Ore. - The Great Northwest Athletic Conference has announced sophomore pitcher,
Miah Lusk, as the Pitcher of the Week for her efforts in a four-game sweep over Western Oregon this weekend.
"Miah has been improving every week, partially because she works incredibly hard both on the field and in the classroom. Miah is ready all four games each weekend to help her teammates win. It is exciting to think about how good she can be."
- Rich Wagner, NNU Head Coach
Lusk was outright dominant this weekend, making an appearance in every game and totaling 15 strikeouts. Lusk gave up just two earned runs in 10 innings of work. Her performance brought her season ERA to 2.64 which is second in the GNAC.
The reigning Freshman of the Year punched out 15 batters to bring her season total to 167, leading the GNAC.
Lusk and the Nighthawks will look to secure a spot in the GNAC Tournament with a four-game series against Central Washington this weekend.
