NAMPA, Idaho – Northwest Nazarene men's cross country dominated its first home meet since the 2013 season on Friday morning, with
Brody Kemble winning the individual title and the team taking first by a wide margin.
The Nighthawks totaled 26 points, with all five counting runners finishing in the top 12, including three of the top four. College of Idaho was next with 47 points, followed by College of Southern Idaho at 83, Eastern Oregon at 98, and Treasure Valley CC at 134.
Brody Kemble won his second race in as many chances this season, finishing with a time of 25:01.05 that was eight seconds clear of the next runner.
Grady Mylander was third in the race with a time of 25:16.99, followed by
Ian Stockett in fourth with a time of 25:28.80. An unattached runner finished second, so Mylander and Stockett actually finished second and third in terms of team points.
Neftalí Menendez was next for NNU, placing 10
th (nine points) with a time of 26:08.01.
Asher Ingram rounded out the five scorers in 12
th (10 points) with a time of 26:24.25.
Micah Chi was sixth for the Nighthawks (13
th overall) and
Christian Gump seventh (17
th overall).
