NNU Wins GNAC Academic All-Sports Title For Record Eighth Time

| By:
PORTLAND, Ore. – Compiling the highest cumulative academic score for the 2024-25 academic year, Northwest Nazarene University claimed the Great Northwest Athletic Conference Academic All-Sports overall trophy.

The Nighthawks totaled 155 points among the academic team standings, clearing second-place Western Oregon by 18 points. NNU won the men's academic title and finished third in the women's academic standings to fuel the overall victory. It is the eighth academic all-sports trophy for the Nighthawks, the most of any GNAC institution since the league was formed during the 2001-02 academic year. It is the seventh time that the NNU men's teams have combined to claim the academic all-sports title, marking the second-most men's academic titles within the league.

Western Washington claimed the women's academic all-sports title, compiling a score of 80 points to edge second-place Seattle Pacific by one point. It marks the first-ever women's academic title for the Vikings.

The trophy recognizes the conference's top-performing academic teams based on cumulative grade point average during each academic year.
