Handful of Nighthawks Compete at Bengal Invitational

POCATELLO, Idaho - With the majority of the Northwest Nazarene track & field team staying in Nampa for finals and graduation weekend, the Nighthawks sent eight athletes to the Bengal Invitational at Idaho State across Friday and Saturday.

On the men's side, Bryson Paul hit new PR's in both of his events, running a 23.37 in the 200m and 50.74 in the 400m. Thomas Clark also PR'd in the 200m with a time of 22.34 seconds, and Emmett Stouffer added a new personal best in the 400m with a time of 50.13 seconds.

For the women, Rylee Klitgaard hit a new PR in the long jump by a significant margin, leaping a distance of 5.28 meters to surpass her previous mark of 4.97m in the event. Alyssa Blum also hit a new personal best in the 800m with a time of 2:22.48.

The Nighthawks now set their focus on the upcoming GNAC Outdoor Championships, set to be held next weekend from May 9-10 at Civic Stadium in Bellingham, Washington.
