| By:
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The College Sports Communicators (CSC) released the 2025 Softball Academic All-District Teams for Division II this week, with two members of Northwest Nazarene's program earning the honor.

The Nighthawks' honorees are Kellcie Adams and Charlotte Forniss.

To earn this recognition, student-athletes be at least a sophomore in athletic and academic eligibility, must hold a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or above from all schools in their collegiate careers, as well as either play in 90% of their team's games or start in 66% of the team's contests during the current season. For baseball and softball pitchers, nominees must have made at least 17 appearances or pitched 35 innings. More information on criteria can be found here.

Forniss was also selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalist, and she will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced June 17, 2025.

The Academic All-District® Softball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
