Women's Basketball Places Four on CSC Academic All-District Team

| By:
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The College Sports Communicators (CSC) released the 2024-25 Women's Basketball Academic All-District Teams for Division II on Tuesday, with four members of Northwest Nazarene's program earning the honor.

The Nighthawks' honorees are Kate Clark, Kendall Clark, Shawnacee Davis, and Madeline Gebers.

To earn this recognition, student-athletes be at least a sophomore in athletic and academic eligibility, must hold a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or above from all schools in their collegiate careers, as well as either play in 90% of their team's games or start in 66% of the team's contests during the current season. More information on criteria can be found here.

The four honors are the most that NNU women's basketball has ever received from the Academic All-District program in a single season, surpassing the two earned twice in the 2001-02 and 2006-07 years. These are also the first such honors since McKenna Emerson was on the Academic All-District team in 2022-23.

Kendall Clark was also selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalist, and she will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced April 16, 2025.

The Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Basketball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced later this spring. The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
