LITCHFIELD PARK, Ariz. - Northwest Nazarene women's golf continued their spring season with a strong showing at the SMSU Classic across Monday and Tuesday, finishing in a tie for fourth out of 13 teams.

NNU finished at 645, tying with Vanguard. The Nighthawks and Lions were just four strokes back of MSU Denver for third, five back of Minnesota State for second, and seven back of Westminster's 638 for the team title.

Caroline Caven had a great tournament, tying for 5th among the field of 75 competitors. She carded two rounds of 79 each for a 158 total, and was just five strokes back of the individual medalist. 

Tora Timinsky was not far behind, going 79-81 to finish at 160 and in a tie for 13th. Christine Cho was next, tying for 27th at 164. 

Avery Paul and Brianna Shervik rounded out the Nighthawks scoring by both tying for 37th at 166. 

NNU will come back to Idaho for a couple of weeks before returning to Arizona for the RJGA Palm Valley Classic from April 4-5 in at Palm Valley Golf Club in Goodyear.
