SALT LAKE CITY – Northwest Nazarene men's soccer struggled to find their footing on the road at Westminster on Saturday, falling to the Griffins 4-0.
NNU falls to 0-3-1 on the year.
The teams had relatively equal numbers of chances in the match, with Westminster edging NNU 16-12 in shots but the Nighthawks holding a 9-8 advantage in shots on target.
All nine of those Nighthawk attempts were saved by the Westminster keeper, however, as NNU was shut out from the scoreboard.
The Nighthawks will come back to Nampa for their home opener next Thursday, hosting West Texas A&M at 6:00 p.m.
