Nighthawks Fall to Mountaineers in Three Sets

NAMPA, Idaho – Northwest Nazarene volleyball hosted their last exhibition match of their 2024 season on Friday, falling to Eastern Oregon University in three sets.
 
Due to the exhibition status of the game, it will not count toward the Nighthawks season record or statistics.
 
NNU faced off with EOU in a high-energy game from the start. Miya Koch led the Nighthawks offensively with a stand-out first set. However, the Mountaineers held the lead and won the first-set with a score of 25-22.

In set two, NNU countered EOU's momentum. Both teams battling defensively with multiple intense rallies. Despite the efforts of the Nighthawks the Mountaineers pulled out the second-set victory with a score of 25-22. 

The Mountaineers came away with a victory in the third set controlling the game with a final score of 25-16. 
 
The Nighthawks will be on the road next weekend traveling to California to play in the Golden Eagle Classic. Their first game is scheduled for Thursday, September 5th at 4:00 p.m. facing off against Azusa Pacific.
