AUSTIN, Texas - The College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced the 2024 Softball Academic All-America Teams on Tuesday morning, with Northwest Nazarene's Sidney Booth earning the prestigious recognition.

Booth is the first player in NNU softball history to be named an Academic All-American. The senior is the 12th student-athlete in NNU's DII history to be named an Academic All-American, and is also a four-time Academic All-District honoree.

The Pre-Physical Therapy major earned Second Team honors at pitcher with her cumulative 3.87 GPA. She is the only GNAC representative on the three teams and is joined by Stanislaus State's Mikaela Ferreira (third team) as the two West Region members earning honors.

This academic honor adds to the multitude of athletic honors that Booth earned this season, including NFCA Second Team All-American, D2CCA Third Team All-American, D2CCA West Region Pitcher of the Year, and GNAC Pitcher of the Year.
