Nighthawks Win Game One of the GNAC Tournament

BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Northwest Nazarene softball defeated Central Washington 1-0 in their first game of the GNAC Tournament on Thursday.
 
The Nighthawks are now 38-8 overall and 20-4 in the GNAC.
 
The lone run of the game came in the bottom of the fifth inning. Jami Obringer reached base with a single and stole second base. Ava Clark moved Obringer to third with a groundout and Emma Mulligan hit a sac fly to score her.
 
Sidney Booth was dominant in the circle for NNU. In her complete game shutout, Booth allowed just three hits and walked four batters while striking out seven.

The Nighthawks play Western Washington tomorrow morning at 10 a.m. Pacific Time.
