LITCHFIELD PARK, Ariz. – Northwest Nazarene women's golf placed sixth out of 12 teams at the SMSU Challenge on Thursday and Friday.
Madison Gridley led the Nighthawks, tying for fifth place as an individual. She had a strong first round, leading all golfers with a score of 71. After a second round of 82, she finished at 153. Gridley had 18 pars, five birdies, and one eagle.
Christine Cho tied for 14
th with rounds of 80 and 78 for a total of 158.
Tora Timinsky had rounds of 83 and 84 for a total of 167 and finished tied for 37
th in the challenge.
Brianna Shervik and
Allison MacMillan each shot 175 and tied for 53
rd place. Shervik had rounds of 81 and 94, while MacMillan had rounds of 86 and 89.
The women's next competition is at the SMSU Classic on March 11
th and 12
th.
