Nighthawks Finish Exhibition Play With Game at ISU

POCATELLO, Idaho – The Nighthawks Women's Basketball team played in Reed Gym yesterday as they faced off against the Bengals. In a back and forth game ISU was able to edge their way to the victory with a score of 76-62.

NNU finished their exhibition games yesterday and move to season play starting next week.

As the game got underway ISU came out strong building a 24-9 lead in the first quarter. However, the Nighthawks worked to slow this growing momentum and came out stronger in the second.
With a good defensive performance NNU was able to work their way back from the point deficit going into halftime down by 13.

In the third quarter ISU continued to play a good game of basketball and pushed their lead to 18. Even though the Nighthawks tried their best to battle back into the game, they ended up facing a loss, 62-76.

Kendall Clark led her team with 17 points followed by Jené Wells who scored 10.

NNU will be on the road as they start season play next week. They will travel to Ellensburg, Washington to face Cal State East Bay on November 8th. Tip off is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. pacific time in the Nicholson Pavilion.
