NEW ORLEANS - Former Northwest Nazarene men's basketball standout Adonis Arms has signed with the NBA's New Orleans Pelicans as of Oct. 1, 2024.
Arms, who has spent the last two seasons playing regularly in the NBA's G League, joins the Pelicans for the preseason that began today, Oct. 7.
Arms appeared in 42 games last season with the G League's Memphis Hustle (affiliated with the Grizzlies), in which he averaged 16.0 points, 6.0 rebounds and 3.2 assists in 28.6 minutes per game. The year before was spent with the Denver Nuggets' G League Team, the Grand Rapids Gold. In 88 games across two G League seasons, he holds career averages of 14.2 points, 5.6 rebounds and 3.1 assists in 26.8 minutes per contest.
Arms played for the Nighthawks for one season in 2018-19, averaging 20.6 points, 5.4 rebounds and 3.3 assists and earning the GNAC Player of the Year honor. He then played one season each for Division I programs Winthrop and Texas Tech, reaching the NCAA Tournament with both schools.Â
