BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Northwest Nazarene women's soccer could not hand Western Washington their first conference defeat on Thursday, falling to the Vikings 2-0.
 
The Nighthawks move to 3-10 overall and 3-6 in GNAC play.
 
Both defenses were winning the battle for nearly the entire first half, but WWU managed to sneak in a goal with just 85 seconds remaining in the opening period to take a 1-0 lead.
 
The Vikings added their second goal in a header in the 68
th minute, and the 2-0 score would stand the rest of the game.
 
NNU will now head across the border to face Simon Fraser on Saturday at 11 a.m. Pacific.
