HONOLULU, Hawaii – Northwest Nazarene women's soccer went toe-to-toe with the 12
th-ranked team in the country on Tuesday, battling to a scoreless draw against Hawaii Hilo to close out their trip in the Aloha State.
NNU finishes the trip 1-0-2, holding their opponents scoreless in all three games.
Hawaii Hilo held the advantage in shots in the match, but shots on goal were very close with the Vulcans at four and the Nighthawks at three.
Savanah Herz had two of the three shots on target, both coming in the final eight minutes of action.
Bailey Blancett went all 90 minutes in goal and saved all four attempts that came her way.
NNU will now head back to Nampa for their home opener, hosting D-III member Pacific University in an exhibition game on Saturday, Sept. 9.
