Nighthawks Tie in Hawaii


WAIPAHU, Hawaii – Northwest Nazarene men's soccer begins their season with a 1-1 draw in a battle with Hawaii Pacific.
 
The Nighthawks put the pressure on early with two shots on goal in the first 16 minutes of the contest. Pablo Gonzalez scored NNU's first goal of the season in the 31st minute to give his team a 1-0 lead.
 
In the 77th minute of the game, Hawaii Pacific netted a penalty kick opportunity, which brought the game to its 1-1 final.
 
Johnny Ramirez took four shots with two of them on goal and Sawyer Price played all 90 minutes in the net, recording four saves.
 
The Nighthawks are looking for their first win of the season when they play Chaminade on Saturday in Honolulu, Hawaii.
