Nighthawks Drop Road Game to Wolves

Monmouth, Ore. – Northwest Nazarene women's basketball fell 77-63 to Western Oregon on Thursday night.
 
The Nighthawks are now 11-14 overall and 7-10 in GNAC play.
 
How it Happened
 
Jordan Pinson made two three-point baskets in the 1st quarter to help the Nighthawks edge a 18-14 lead over the Wolves.
 
In the 2nd quarter, the Nighthawks got out to their largest lead of the game at 24-16 with a layup from Emma Clark. The Wolves picked up some momentum towards the end of the quarter to narrow the Nighthawks lead to 34-33.
 
After a jumper from Lydia Nieto to open the 2nd half, the Wolves went on a 12-3 run to take a 45-39 lead over the Nighthawks.
 
WOU went on to seal the deal in the final quarter of the game with a 14-0 run, gaining their largest lead of the game at 70-51. The Nighthawks continued to fight to the 77-63 final.

  • Pinson led the Nighthawks in scoring with 22 points, followed by Clare Eubanks with 12
  • Pinson's 22 points lands her at exactly 1,000 career points
