Lacey, Wash. – Northwest Nazarene women's basketball battled to the end but fell 75-73 to Saint Martin's in their final game.
The Nighthawks finished the season 11-15 overall and 7-11 in GNAC play.
How it Happened
Saint Martin's began the game with some momentum by jumping out to an 11-3 lead. NNU answered back with a 10-0 run that began late in the 1
st quarter and carried into the start of the 2
nd to narrow the Saints lead to 22-19.
The Nighthawks faced a 39-30 deficit at the end of the 1
st half.
Clare Eubanks single handedly went on a 12-3 run for NNU to begin the 2
nd half. This run contributed to the Nighthawks shooting 71.4% from the field in the 3
rd quarter.
NNU fought hard in the 4
th quarter but couldn't come away with the win. The Saints won in a 75-73 final.
