LOGAN, Utah - Northwest Nazarene men's basketball traveled down to Division I Utah State for an exhibition on Saturday night, falling to the Aggies 84-53.

With the game being an exhibition, the Nighthawks remain at 4-4 on the season and 2-0 in GNAC play.

Utah State came out hot, opening the contest on a 19-2 run over the first four and a half minutes. NNU would find their footing and respond with a 12-2 run of their own, including triples from
Nathan Perez and
Easton Reagan, to make it 21-14 with nine minutes to play in the opening half.

That was as close as NNU would get for the rest of the half, as the Aggies built a 17-point lead at the break, 46-29.

The Nighthawks would cut the deficit to 15 in the second half, 65-50, with 8:12 remaining, but Utah State closed the game on a 19-3 run to earn the 31-point victory.

Easton Reagan led NNU with 12 points, including a 3-4 night from deep.
Aaron Murphy added 11 points and
Christian Rose tallied 10 points and seven rebounds.

NNU will now have next week free from games before traveling to Westmont on Tuesday, Dec. 19.
