Seawolves Defeat Nighthawks

ANCHORAGE, Alaska – Northwest Nazarene women's basketball was defeated by Alaska Anchorage on Saturday night by a score of 68-58.
 
The Nighthawks are now 8-8 overall and 4-4 in GNAC play.
 
How it Happened
 
The Seawolves opened the game with a 13-2 run and never looked back. UAA controlled the lead for the entirety of the game.
 
The Nighthawks trailed by 22 points early in the 4th quarter, but still showed signs of life. NNU went on an 11-2 run to finish out the game and cut the deficit down to 10.

  • Danika Starr led all players in points with a career high of 19
  • Starr also led the Nighthawks in rebounds with six
  • NNU had 13 fast break points to UAA's 5
  • NNU had 37 bench points to Anchorage's 28

The Nighthawks will have Thursday off in the coming week, then hit the road again. This time facing Central Washington on Saturday, January 21st.
