NNU Caps 4-0 Weekend with Sweep of Fresno Pacific

SAN RAFAEL, Calif. – Northwest Nazarene volleyball earned another sweep on Saturday morning with a 25-19, 25-17, 25-18 victory over Fresno Pacific to close out a 4-0 week at the NorCal Kickoff.

How It Happened

The Nighthawks went down 7-3 early in set one, but rallied back to tie at seven apiece. Things were close for much of the rest of the set, before a late 6-3 run pulled NNU in front for good, with Miya Koch capping the frame on a kill.

NNU then used that momentum to jump out to a quick 5-1 lead in set two. NNU led the whole way, with FPU cutting the deficit to 17-14 before the Nighthawks scored eight of the final 11 points to take the set 25-17.

The Nighthawks were in control for the entire third set, never trailing on their way to the 25-18 victory, culminating with an ace from Caroline McMahon.
