CALDWELL, Idaho - Northwest Nazarene women's golf started their season strong at the College of Idaho Invitational, taking second out of eight teams in the two-day event.

NNU finished with a two-round score of 623, shooting consistent rounds of 313 and 310. The University of British Columbia took first at 574.

Elle McCord had the highest finish for NNU in her Nighthawks debut, placing eighth at 152 (+8), shooting rounds of 76 both days. 

Christine Cho and Madison Gridley were not too far behind, finishing back-to-back in 10th and 11th, with Cho recording a 154 and Gridley a 155. Paige Vancil was next and also earned a top-20 finish, placing 16th at 163.

Brianna Shervik rounded out the Nighthawks' five, placing 23rd (171).

Allison MacMillan, Ashley Willoughby, and Challiss Potter also competed as individuals.

The Nighthawks will have 10 days to prepare for their next event, hitting the road for the Saint Martin's Invitational on Sept. 23 and 24.
