The Softball All-Region Teams for both the NFCA and the D2CCA were announced on Wednesday, with Northwest Nazarene's Sidney Booth and Ivy Hommel both taking home All-West Region honors for the second-straight season.

The NFCA All-Region squads are voted on by the coaches of each region, while the D2CCA teams are selected by the region's Sports Information Directors.

Booth and Hommel were two of five GNAC athletes to be named consensus All-Region picks by both outlets.

Booth, the GNAC Pitcher of the Year, enters the West Regional leading the GNAC with 17 wins and a 1.76 earned run average. In 187 innings, Booth has allowed 68 runs, 47 earned, with 198 strikeouts. Her 26 complete games ranks second in Division II. At the plate, Booth is third in the GNAC with a .384 batting average and is tied for sixth with 58 hits.

Hommel enters the NCAA West Regional ranked eighth in the GNAC with a .358 batting average and leads the conference with 56 runs scored. She is tied for sixth with eight home runs, tied for eighth with 37 RBI and has 21 stolen bases on 25 attempts.

The duo will now look to lead NNU at the NCAA West Regional, opening on Thursday at noon against the top seed in the West, Cal State San Marcos.
