IRVINE, Calif. – Northwest Nazarene softball couldn't close out the victory on Friday night, as Chico State earned a come-from-behind 5-4 win over the Nighthawks in NNU's third game of the Concordia Kickoff Classic.

How It Happened
	- The Wildcats got on the board first in the top of the first inning, notching a two-out, two-run single.
- Sidney Booth immediately tied things up in the bottom of the inning, bringing home Ivy Hommel and Emma Mulligan with a two-run single.
- The Nighthawks were not done in their half of the first, as Charlotte Forniss drew a bases-loaded walk to put NNU up 3-2.
- Forniss then brought in another run in the bottom of the bottom of the third, grounding out to shortstop and bringing home Madison Felter from third in the process.
- Chico State drew even once again, however, with another two-run, two-out base hit in the top of the sixth to make it 4-4.
- The Wildcats would take the lead in the top of the seventh, as a leadoff single came around to score on a two-out triple to left field.
- NNU threatened in the bottom of the inning with a one-out double by Booth, but the tying run was left stranded on third base as Chico held on for the win.
