SEATTLE, Wash. – Northwest Nazarene women's basketball fell 58-45 to Seattle Pacific on Thursday night.
The Nighthawks are now 6-5 overall and 2-1 in GNAC play.
How it Happened
NNU grabbed the first lead of the game and held onto that lead for almost the entire first quarter. SPU had a 12-11 lead in the first quarter that lasted seven seconds before the Nighthawks reclaimed it.
SPU went on a 12-0 run that began late in the first quarter and ended when
Jordan Pinson made a layup with 5:59 remaining in the half. NNU trailed at the half by a score of 29-21.
The Nighthawks went on a run of their own in the third quarter. At the conclusion of the Nighthawks' 10-0 run,
Cami Knishka scored six points to tie the game 38-38. SPU's Maya Hoff threw a prayer off the backboard to conclude the third quarter and regain the lead for the Falcons.
The three-point shot at the end of the third quarter was the beginning of a 10-0 run for the Falcons.
Clare Eubanks ended the run with a layup, but the Falcons coasted to the conclusion of the game with a final score of 58-45.
