NAMPA, Idaho – Northwest Nazarene women's basketball defeated Western Oregon 67-58 on Saturday night.
The Nighthawks advance to 6-2 overall and 2-0 in GNAC play.
How it Happened
NNU shot six for 19 from the field in the first quarter. The Nighthawks were able to gain an advantage by going on a 6-0 run in the final 1:15 of the first quarter. The score at the end of the first quarter was 15-11 in favor of NNU.
In the second quarter, NNU outscored WOU 18-13. The Nighthawks shot 33% from beyond the arc. NNU went on their biggest scoring run of the night, 15 points.
WOU won the third quarter by a score of 17-16, but the Nighthawks still led 49-41 going into the fourth quarter.
The Nighthawks finished the game with a final score of 67-58. They led for just over 29 minutes of the game. Their biggest lead of the night was 14 points.
