ANCHORAGE, Alaska – Northwest Nazarene volleyball took a set from No. 6 Alaska Anchorage on Thursday night, but fell to the Seawolves 3-1.
The Nighthawks move to 16-8 overall and 9-7 in GNAC play.
How It Happened
NNU was able to hang with UAA for the whole first set, keeping the frame close throughout. Tied at 23, NNU went down 24-23 but was able to rally back with three-straight points to take the set on an ace from
Maren Dent.
The Nighthawks would stay close with the Seawolves in all three of the other sets, particularly 25-22 losses in sets three and four. In the final frame, NNU was down 24-19 but did not go away quietly, scoring three in a row, but could not go on a miracle run to take the set and extend the match.
